How Does It Work?

What Is The Treatment Like?

Your trained SkinPen® technician will use the handpiece to correct a wide variety of cosmetic concerns in as little as 30-minutes. Topical anesthetic is applied to make you as comfortable as possible, and then the SkinPen® is passed over your skin to create the channels that prompt renewal. SkinPen® treatments are spaced between four and six weeks apart. Once desired results are achieved, it’s safe to have touch-up treatments as needed.

Is There Any Down Time?

SkinPen® is a minimally-invasive procedure with very little side effects. You may experience redness or tenderness (similar to a sunburn) after your treatment. Your Vivace™ RF Microneedling session begins with the application of topical numbing cream for maximum comfort for patients with sensitive skin. Then your Levy Dermatology provider passes the handpiece over your skin to create the micro-channels and deliver the RF energy and LED light. Your appointment will last around 30-45 minutes for any anesthetic cream to be effective, then an additional 45 minutes for the Vivace™ RF Microneedling process. You’re free to resume your daily activities right away, and sunscreen is recommended for any time spent outdoors.

Is There Any Down Time?

Side effects and downtime are minimal thanks to Vivace™ gold-set insulated microneedles. The procedure is virtually painless and has a reduced risk of redness, hot spots, burning, or discomfort than traditional microneedling.
