What Is Treatment Like?
We administer Juvederm® Voluma™ XC injections in the comfort of our offices in about 15 minutes. The gel formula contains lidocaine, to minimize discomfort, so there is no need for additional anesthesia.
What Is Downtime And Recovery Like?
There is very little or no downtime following a treatment. Most patients can resume their typical daily activities right after treatment. While Voluma™ XC is considered a safe form of treatment, all injectable dermal fillers are associated with some risk of side effects. The most commonly occurring side effects that may result from Voluma™ XC treatment include swelling, bruising, tenderness, formation of a lump, firmness to the skin, redness, itching, discoloration or pain at the injection site. When these arise, they are generally mild to moderate and resolve within a few weeks.
