If you have lines and wrinkles around your mouth or eyes, you want a dermal filler that smooths them away without looking stiff. Belotero® integrates with your skin for a seamlessly natural look. Many providers choose Belotero® when they need a filler that can stand up to deep lines and wrinkles while still looking smooth and flexible.

What is Belotero®?

Belotero® is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Several brands of fillers use this safe, versatile material, but Belotero® has unique properties that make it the ideal choice for some areas. At Levy Dermatology, we use Belotero® for:

  • Deep lines and wrinkles
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Lines around the eyes
  • Loss of volume in the “tear trough” under the eye

Many fillers are not suitable for use in the eye area, but Belotero® integrates better with the skin than other hyaluronic acid fillers, making the results smoother and more flexible for a natural look.

How Does Belotero® Work?

Popular dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid because this molecule is found in youthful skin, so the body rarely responds to it. This complex molecule comes in a range of forms, and in the skin, it attracts and holds onto moisture, making the skin plumper and more hydrated. Belotero® has its own unique formula that gives it an unusual combination of flexibility and firmness

What is Belotero® Treatment Like?

Your provider will inject Belotero® into the target areas using a cannula which minimizes adverse side effects and bruising. Each area may require several injections. If needed, you can have numbing medication applied, but many people do not require it. Treatment takes about fifteen minutes.

How Long Does Belotero® Last?

You will start seeing results immediately after your injections. Full results will develop within a week or two. Many smooth, flexible filler types last a maximum of six to nine months. Belotero® lasts up to a year, saving you money and office visits.

Am I a Good Candidate for Belotero®?

Most healthy adults make good candidates for Belotero®. You should not get it if you have had a bad reaction to a similar type of filler. If you have lines and wrinkles around the eyes or mouth or want a natural-looking dermal filler, Belotero® may solve your problem.
