Over time, prolonged sun exposure can cause extensive skin damage including discoloration, fine lines, and actinic keratosis (small bumps on the skin’s surface). All of which can have a negative impact on our self-image. In today’s fast-paced world, people with busy lifestyles are seeking an effective solution to fix adverse signs of sun exposure without the usual lengthy downtime associated with surgical procedures.

At Levy Dermatology, we offer the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser treatment – Halo™ by Sciton.  It’s one of our go-to procedures for sun-damaged skin because it can quickly be done in-office and is highly customizable to your individual needs. This procedure offers great results with fewer treatments and less downtime than traditional lasers.

Halo™ Laser Treatments are an FDA-approved, minimally-invasive procedure that delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to problem areas. The hybrid laser works in two ways to give you maximum results with minimal recovery time. Fractionated beams use controlled heat to exfoliate the damaged superficial layers of skin while also triggering the body to naturally produce new, healthy skin cells beneath. You’ll see improvements in overall skin tone and texture and a healthy long-term glow.

Prior to treatment, a topical numbing agent will be applied to keep you as comfortable as possible. The Halo™ handpiece is then uniformly rolled over the predetermined targeted area. Most patients experience very little discomfort and are generally comfortable throughout their treatment. You may feel a warm or prickling sensation on the skin during treatment.
