Microneedling Treatments Available at Levy Dermatology

1. Microneedling with Radiofrequency

At Levy Dermatology, we offer two highly effective treatments for radiofrequency microneedling. Morpheus8 and Vivace™ microneedling both utilize radiofrequency technology in tandem with microneedling in order to enhance results.

Radiofrequency microneedling works similar to that of traditional microneedling techniques with a few added bonuses. A specialized handheld device is used to create tiny micro-channels to the superficial layers of skin, which triggers faster cellular turnover. These channels allow Vivace™and Morpheus8 to deliver advanced radiofrequency (RF) and LED light therapy to the lower layers of skin for deep dermal rejuvenation.

In other words, Vivace™ and Morpheus8 can fade complexion issues faster (thanks to robust cellular turnover), while also providing noticeable skin-tightening benefits.

2. Skinpen

SkinPen® is the first FDA-approved microneedling pen on the market, so it’s considered the gold standard for traditional microneedling treatments. It’s a minimally invasive procedure that precisely targets problem areas by stimulating the body’s natural healing process.

SkinPen® can address common skin conditions including; large pore size, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and overall tone and texture.

3. Microneedling with PRP

PRP Therapy is often performed alongside microneedling techniques such as SkinPen®. For this type of microneedling, PRP is applied topically to the microneedling treatment area. The process helps tighten skin and speed up the healing process. Patients can expect smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin. PRP with microneedling is a popular treatment for facial rejuvenation but can also be done on the hands, neck, or chest.

As you can see, microneedling is not a one-size-fits-all solution; there are multiple types of microneedling treatments available that can help you achieve the complexion you’ve always wanted.
