New Botox® patients (those trying Botox® for the first time or have been getting treatments for fewer than two years) should expect to get Botox® injections every three to four months to maintain their results.
If you’ve been getting Botox® treatments for a few years now, you may find that your results last a little longer than they used to. For that reason, you may only need to get Botox® treatments a few times each year to maintain your results.
Botox® is a good solution for you if you are bothered by the appearance of mild-to-moderate fine lines on your forehead or frown lines between your eyebrows.
Botox® can also be used to treat crow’s feet, which are the wrinkles that form at the corners of your eyes. These wrinkles often form as the result of squinting, smiling, or other everyday facial expressions.
Botox® works by using botulinum toxin to interrupt the brain’s signals to the nerve endings within the muscles at the injection site. This helps relax the skin, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines at the treatment site.
