What happens during a BroadBand Light procedure?
First, the light energy delivered by the laser slowly heats up the top layers of skin. The heat that is absorbed by the skin will stimulate the cells to regenerate new collagen production, resulting in a firmer skin texture. The photothermal energy also eliminates dilated skin vessels and redness, restoring the skin’s natural colors and smoothness. The entire procedure takes about 30 minutes and requires minimal to no downtime.
What results can I expect from a BroadBand Light treatment?
Immediately following treatment, you may notice some skin redness and you should avoid direct sun exposure until you are completely healed. While some improvement may be seen after the first BBL treatment session, the most optimal results are achieved after 4 to 6 treatments. It is recommended that these treatment sessions be spaced about 3 to 4 weeks apart to provide ample time for the skin to heal.
