About Us
Dermatology is a specialized field of medicine, which includes the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. There are innumerable rashes, tumors, growths, infections, and cancers that may affect the skin. Treatments may be medical or surgical. Our doctor has significant experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin cancers. We are also committed to helping people maintain healthy skin and perform procedures to cosmetically correct the effects of the environment and aging of the skin.
Our Doctor
Dr. Levy specializes in surgical and cosmetic dermatology and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. After graduating from Duke University, he obtained his medical doctor degree from the University of Tennessee, where he also trained as a Resident in Dermatology. He served as Chief Resident his final year and then trained as a Fellow in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Tennessee and Memphis Dermatology Societies. He serves on the Board of the Tennessee Dermatology Society. Dr. Levy is committed to doing his best to give you the most attention and highest quality of care possible.
Our Staff
When you visit Levy Dermatology, you will be greeted by our staff. In an effort to make your visit a pleasant one, we will gather much of your information when you make your appointment.
Our nursing staff, well-trained by our Physicians, will escort you to our patient rooms and prepare you for your visit with your doctor. Our nursing staff will ask you several questions to determine the needs for your treatment from your doctor. Your Doctor will develop a customized treatment plan to suit your needs.
As you finish your visit and make your next appointment with the checkout clerk, feel free to inquire about our line of skin care products. We carry a wide range of products for every skin type. All of our products are high-quality and were physician-selected.
Hours
Appointment Hours and Office Hours
We are available Monday through Friday with a variety of office hours. We have early and late clinic hours for your convenience. Our business office is available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at (901) 624-3333 to assist you with appointment scheduling. We ask that you arrive in our office approximately fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that appropriate paperwork may be completed prior to your visit.
Telephone Calls and Prescriptions
Levy Dermatology provides around-the clock, seven-days-a-week service for our patients in the event of an emergency. Our office staff is available to answer all patient questions during our regular office hours. We make every attempt to return every call as soon as possible. We are happy to refill routine prescriptions during our regular office hours. For reasons of good clinical practice, prescriptions will not be refilled if the patient has not been seen in the office in the prior year. For many oral medications, the patient must have been seen in the last six months.
